Q. Would you please describe how does the PBX works?

A. 

  1. You need to professionally record all your greetings and routing guides. then uploaded in your account.
  2. The call will answer by your greeting. 
  3. The caller will select his/her choice of extension.
  4. The call then forwarded to proper extension that can be IP Phone, your mobile phone, or multiple numbers, sent directly to voicemail (which will forward the message to your email). This is based on how you set up your service to work. 
  5. You can access both new and saved voicemails via email, online at the Callika customer’s interface.

Q. Do i able to record, edit or change my own greeting?

A. Yes, you can record your greetings on the customer online interface. You have the ability to select from an automated voice, uploading your recorded greetings, or you can simply record in the interface.

Q. How many numbers can route to my PBX?

A. You can route unlimited number to PBX.  For example you can have a number from Canada, and one from US and one from Toll Free and all goes to one PBX.

Q. How can listen to my voicemail?

A. Voicemail can be checked via email, online at the Callika Customer care website, or by dialling *98 from your IP phone.  However it is all depend how you setup your voicemail account. 

To listen to voicemails when someone called and left a message you can have the following options:

  • The message will be available for you, by just dialling *98 from your IP phone
  • You can login to your Callika Customer care interface and check your inbox and all your voicemail and fax will be there
  • You will receive the email, in the subject line you will see the caller number and time of the call and in the attachment there is your voice mail audio file.

Q. Would the phone number be available from anywhere around the world?

A. Phone numbers are accessible from about 2152 cities all over the world.

Q. What amount of time does it take for the number to become usable?

A. Usually, the number becomes usable almost immediately.

Q. Will a person be able to retain the original phone number?

A. Yes that would be possible. The number currently in use can be forwarded to the local number that will be assigned. The number can also be actually be transferred. This process is known as porting. Porting has several advantages since the service to which the phone had been subscribed to so far will be disconnected and the payment for it will no longer be necessary. The incoming calls shall be transferred to the service.

Q. Where exactly are the places local numbers made available?

Q. Will it be possible for voice messages and faxes to be sent to more than one email address.

A. Presently, our service cannot deliver voice messages or faxes to multiple email addresses.

Q. What is the occasion for the long distance fee to be charged?

A. The system usually does not charge a long distance fee since the service is not affected by the location to where the outgoing call is placed. Irrespective of the carrier used, the calls would go through unhindered. The charge will only be on calls that are made to fax or bypass numbers and extensions and that too in the countries of Canada and the USA that are beyond the area assigned for calling to the local number.

Q. What is the number of voice messages that can be contained within the voice mail box?

A. A total of fifty messages can be stored in your voice mail box and if you desire to forward these messages to your email account, then you can store infinite number of voice messages. Moreover, callika.com brings this service free of cost to you!

Q. Enlist the limits to the greetings in the Main Menu, Sub Menu and Voice mail.

A. So far, no limits have been imposed.

Q. Ascertain the limit to the length of a voice mail message.

A. A maximum of two minutes has been assigned for a voice mail message.

Q. Is it permissible to keep Sub Menus under the Main Menu?

A. There are no limits to the number of submenus that one intends to keep. However, one shall have to pay for every submenu that exceeds the number allotted in the package availed.

Q. What is the format for incoming faxes is?

A. Faxes shall be received as pdf attachments.

Q. What is the area of functionality of the virtual phone number or the toll free fax number that has been assigned t me?

A. The number shall then function within the USA and Canada toll free. Anywhere else, it shall function as a local phone number.

Q. Is there a way to send faxes to more than one email account?

A. At present, it is not possible. However, one can change the email address to which the fax is being sent by clicking on the designated options.

Q. Kindly furnish information regarding the policy to be followed for the cancellation of an account.

A. The cancellation can be performed at any time convenient. However, the request has to be conveyed through an email that is to be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots.
