A. Once that a particular local number has been chosen, it is immediately put to use with our alert systems. And you can start using the number right away. You can receive calls on the particular number and forward it to a number of your choice within actually no time. 

Q. Can the current phone number also become a part of the local number package?

A. The current phone number can be quite easily incorporated in the existing system. All the calls coming in at the Current phone can be transferred or forwarded to any other local number too. The number can also be transferred to Callika by means of porting the number. This would in effect disconnect your previous phone line. Thus even though you still have the number, porting it will make sure that you don’t any more have to pay for that number. Any calls being on that number are directly forwarded to our service which then gets forwarded to you. This way you can keep your old numbers as well without having to keep the old phone connection too.

Q. What are the cities where I can get a local number?

A.We maintain a database where have local number form 2152 cities listed. These cities are spread all around the world. When looking for local numbers, first look up the city in our list of cities and then you can look up for the local numbers from that city too.

Q. Is it possible to assign multiple e-mails addressed so that the faxes and voice mails are delivered to more than one e-mail id? 

A. Callika provides services wherein you can forward your voice mails to just one e-mail id. This single e-mail id has to be assigned by you. In case you want multiple e-mail ids to have the same record that will have to be taken care of manually.

Q. When does one become liable for the payment of long distance calling fees?

A. The local number feature is a feature to assign you a local number in a city and forward you the calls from that particular number. There are no alterations or changes made to the conventional mode of placing international calls. You continue to make calls in the way it was previously done. The outgoing calls from your numbers that are beyond the jurisdiction of the local area will be attracting a long distance fees. Thus outbound calls that lie beyond the purview of the number that has been assigned to you will necessarily be attracting a fee that will be consequent to long distance charges. Calls being made to other international locations, as is the convention will be requiring you to pay long distance charges.

Q. Is there any limit to the number of voice mail messages that I  get  and store at a time?

A. At a time, your e-mail id is programmed to hold around 100 voice mails of a particular kind. The world particular kind means that there are a total of five folders, each of them for holding a particular set of messages, say work or family etc. In this way, the actual number of voice mails automatically shoots up to 500 messages in total.

Q. Is there any prescribed length to the greetings meant for the callers what is the duration for a regular voice mail?

You have full liberty upon deciding the length and type of greetings that you want for your callers. Voicemails have a restriction placed upon them. A regular voice mail will be of 2 minutes duration only.

Q.Is there an option by which sub-menus can be added to the existing list of main menu?

A. There are tools which can quite conveniently be used to add sub menus to the already crated main menus. Under the local number plan which you will be subscribing with us, there is a permitted usage or a permitted number of menus that one is allowed to have. If menus stay well within this number, you don’t have to pay anything extra. However, once the limit is exceeded, extra payment in this regard will have to be made.

Q. What is the format supported by the fax machines? What format should my clients use for sending faxes to me?

A. Any fax whatsoever should be always be forwarded in the PDF format. The FAX machine will fail to interpret the forwarded content if the same is not found in PDF format.

Q. What are the areas of operation of the local number?

A. Toll free numbers assigned by us work anywhere in the US or Canada. However, the local numbers assigned to you will work anywhere in the world. Our local numbers do enjoy universal accessibility. 

Q. Is there a facility by which the incoming faxes can be delivered to more than one e-mail address?

A.  The case with faxes is much similar to the case of voicemails. Your account conventionally has the capacity of holding around 100 different faxes from your client. The e-mail address on which your faxes are being delivered can be easily altered by you by the changing the settings for your account.

Q. What are the procedures and formalities in regard to cancellation of existing accounts with Callika?
